This Saturday, March 10, film fans can watch their favourite blockbuster movies in IMAX for £3.

The event is being held at the Cineworld cinema in Ipswich.

The cinema in Cardinal Park will be showing a selection of blockbusters including Beauty and the Beast (2017), Guardians of the Galaxy (Vol 2), Thor Ragnarok, Dunkirk and IT in its 400-seat IMAX auditorium - and every ticket is £3.

Chris Clarkson, general manager at Cineworld Ipswich, said: “The IMAX is one of the best ways to watch a film, with its surround sound and giant screen which provide a completely immersive experience.

“Our annual IMAX festival welcomes film lovers to come and try it for themselves and see the difference this impressive film technology can make to their enjoyment of a blockbuster.”

During the day, every IMAX Film Festival guest will also have the chance to win prizes, including free IMAX tickets for the film of their choice.

There will also be a chance to experience a 4DX motion seat at Portman Road.

4DX uses high-tech motion seats and special effects to stimulate all five senses. Wind, fog, lightning, bubbles, water and scents work in sync with a film to bring the action on screen to life.
