Barcelona’s Sergio Busquets believes fellow World Cup winner Cesc Fabregas would “add a lot” to the La Liga champions.

Spain midfielder Fabregas, 23, has been strongly linked with the Catalan side, who he played for in his teens. The rumours strengthened when he was recently pictured wearing the Barcelona jersey following Spain’s World Cup triumph. He currently has 5 years left on his contract with Arsenal, and boss Arsene Wenger seems determined not to let his captain depart in this summer’s transfer window.

“He (Fabregas) is a great player that would add a lot to the team,” said Busquets.

“But we have to respect that he is owned by another club that is not Barcelona, that he is an Arsenal player and, for the time being, there’s nothing to be done.’’

Barca have already had a bid of 35 million euros for Fabregas turned down by the Gunners.
