A crisp maker has launched a new roast rib of beef flavour - suitable for fans who want to follow a plant-based diet.
Fairfields Farm, based at Wormingford, near Colchester, makes crisps from potatoes grown on its own Essex farm.
Farmers and crisp factory owners Rob and Laura Strathern said they wanted to satisfy both their meat eating and vegan customers with their latest product.
"We've had so many requests to launch a roast beef flavour, however our vegan customers are very important to us, so we wanted to ensure that whatever we created would appeal to both meat eaters and those following a plant-based diet," said Laura.
She expects the new flavour to be very popular, she added.
The business also makes other vegan crisps including Bacon & Tomato, Lightly Sea Salted, Sweet Chilli and Sea Salt & Aspall Cyder Vinegar
