The Irish FA have launched the investigation after all hell was let loose in the game, fighting involving players and coaching staff.
IFA president Raymond Kennedy said: "Violence has no place in football and the association totally condemns the incidents which took place at The Showgrounds, Newry at the weekend."
The IFA disciplinary and Challenge Cup committees will decide what punishments to impose once match reports have been received.
