ROY Hodgson has made former Chelsea and West Ham midfielder Joe Cole his first signing at Liverpool with a four-year deal worth �90,000-a-week.
The Londoner held talks with both Liverpool and Tottenham officials regarding a lucrative free transfer following his release by Chelsea.
The news will come as a huge boost for Hodgson, who is currently preparing a makeshift squad for Liverpool’s Europa League third-round qualifier on July 29.
England midfielder Cole is known as one of the most skilful players in the Premier League, but has battled injuries for much of the last few seasons.
