MARTIN Jol is set to be named as Fulham’s new manager later this week after the club opened talks with Ajax on Sunday night.
The 52-year-old will meet again with the London club later this week to finalise a deal, after the former Tottenham manager has already held preliminary talks.
It had been felt Fulham could not compete with Jol’s �2m wages at Ajax, but Fulham owner Mohamed Al Fayed has made an offer the 54-year-old former Tottenham boss could not resist, including supplying the finance to compete for new players.
