Yes it’s the transfer deadline day and we are keeping up with all the latest deals in what is likely to be a frantic last 12 hours of business.

We start at Manchester City, where Swansea winger Scott Sinclair has joined the Premier League champions as has Inter Milan defender Maicon. Manager Roberto Mancini is also hoping to snap up Benfica’s Javi Garcia.

Former Ipswich goalkeeper Richard Wright has also signed for City, who have just drawn Borussia Dortmund, Ajax and Real Madrid in the Champions League group stages.

Leaving City is Nigel de Jong who is joining AC Milan.

Swansea are looking to replace Sinclair with the signing of Feyenoord winger Jerson Cabral.

Dimitar Berbatov has joined Fulham, while Cottagers’ frontman Clint Dempsey has been the subject of a successful bid from Aston Villa. However the USA international wants a move to Liverpool and the Midlands side have now ended their interest.

Nicklas Bendtner is close to leaving Arsenal for Juventus, while Charlie Adam and Maurice Edu have joined Stoke from Liverpool and Rangers respectively.

The Reds, who have off-loaded Andy Carroll to West Ham on a season-long loan, have also made a loan move for Chelsea striker Daniel Sturridge and Chelsea midfielder, Yossi Benayoun, who has already enjoyed a spell at Anfield earlier in his career.

Liverpool’s rivals across Stanley Park, Everton have landed FC Copenhagen defender, Costa Rican, Bryan Oviedo.

Aston Villa are battling with Stoke to sign Blackburn’s Steven Nzonzi and have also snapped up Middlesbrough’s Joe Bennett and Chesterfield striker Jordan Bowery.

Tottenham midfielder Rafael van Der Vaart looks to be on his way out of White Hart Lane with the Bundesliga and Hamburg his likely destination, while winger Danny Rose is joining Sunderland, on loan, for a year. Spurs’ bid to sign Portuguese star Joao Moutinho has hit a snag over personal terms.

In the Championship, big-spending Cardiff have sealed their ninth signing of the summer, snapping up Brighton & Hove Albion winger Craig Noone for a reported �1m fee.

The Bluebirds are also poised to sign Nicky Maynard from West Ham United for a fee understood to be close to �2.5m.

Brighton could also be ready to sell striker Craig Mackail-Smith, who is the subject of a bid from Premier League outfit Norwich.

Liverpool midfielder Jay Spearing has joined Bolton on a season-long loan while Brighton have captured Swansea forward Andrea Orlandi.

Birmingham, meanwhile, are set to sign out-of-favour Swindon right-back Paul Caddis with striker Adam Rooney heading the other way to the County Ground.

Hull City have secured the signature of Sheffield United winger Stephen Quinn.
