LEE McCullough's decision to make himself available again for Scotland has been welcomed by manager Craig Levein.

McCullough announced his international retirement during George Burley's reign as Scotland boss as he did not feel rated by the former Ipswich Town manager.

But McCullough has now reversed his decision upon Levein's appointment and could be named in the squad to face the Czech Republic in a friendly on March 3.

“I know all about Lee,” said Levein. “The great advantage for me of having been a manager in the SPL is I have seen a lot of him over the years.

“He's a really good player and is doing very well for Rangers this season.

“So Lee's decision is naturally of interest to me. I want to see good players with Scotland.

“I don't have a squad yet so I don't have a clue what every single name will be on it but I will look at every person who is eligible.”
