Hopkins Homes, East Anglia’s largest independent house builder has been awarded gold for Best Brownfield Development for their Tibby’s Triangle scheme in Southwold, Suffolk at the national What House? Awards 2011 at a gala ceremony held at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London.

In the judge’s report for Best Brownfield Development, they said: “The development is successful on two levels; in its integration with the historic grain of the town and in its rich aesthetic; combining the traditional vocabulary of the town’s historic housing in the choice of materials with cutting-edge modern detailing”.
They added: “Hopkins Homes have created a very special place, demonstrating that 21st-century development can enrich even the most sensitive historic environments”.
