Suffolk is becoming an increasingly popular destination for film crews, with multiple projects being shot across the county in recent years.

In Ipswich, everything from historical dramas to 'Tollywood' movies have been shot in the town.

Here are five times film crews came to Ipswich.

One Ranger

Earlier this week, the trailer for One Ranger was released and eagle-eyed viewers will have spotted some iconic Ipswich landmarks.

Film crews were first spotted at the waterfront area in March 2022.

Drag SOS

In 2018, Channel 4's Drag SOS was recorded on Ipswich Cornhill.

The show features a drag group as they tour the country, giving makeovers to local people for a special performance.

Ed Sheeran: The Sum Of It All

Last year, Ed Sheeran sent shockwaves throughout the town when he appeared outside Ipswich Town Hall for a surprise acoustic gig.

Earlier this month, it was revealed that footage of the show will be appearing in the Disney documentary 'Ed Sheeran: The Sum Of It All'.

'Tollywood' movie

In October, a film crew pitched up at Old Ipswich Ceremony as a 'Tollywood' movie began production.

Prior to the filming, the production crew sent out an invitation to residents of the Suffolk town to appear as extras, with one local teacher appearing on set and revealing the movie was provisionally titled 'VT12'.

Historical action drama

At the end of summer, Cromwell Square car park was taken over as a historical drama was filmed.

In a letter delivered to residents, it was revealed that the film would be set in Roman times.
