A Friends-themed quiz is to be held in honour of Matthew Perry.

The actor, who played Chandler Bing in the sitcom, died on October 28 at the age of 54.

The Wherry Hotel in Oulton Broad hopes its event on November 14 will keep his memory alive and bring fans together.

Chandler was one of the main group of six and was most loved for his wit and dry humour.

Friends, which aired for 10 years between 1994 and 2004, quickly gained a cult following and the cast became just as loved as the characters they played.

Teams of up to six can put their knowledge of Friends to the test and immerse themselves in nostalgia as they battle head-to-head.

A spokesman for The Wherry Hotel said : "In loving memory of Matthew Perry we'd like to pay tribute by having a Friends Quiz - The One That's All About Chandler Bing.

"And we’ve decided that all admission fees will be donated to the Matthew Perry Foundation.

"The newly formed foundation aims to support those who have been affected or struggled with addiction."

During Perry’s life and in his recent memoir, he was open about his battle with substance abuse and addiction and also set up a sober living facility for men with similar issues.

Admission for the quiz, which starts at 7.30pm, costs £2 per person and tables can be pre-booked now.
