Drivers were advised to avoid a Suffolk road after a tree fell onto a car. 

Officers were called to Woods Lane in Woodbridge at about 3pm after reports that a tree was blocking a road. 

According to Suffolk police, the tree fell onto a car. 

"Suffolk Highways are on the scene to move the tree from the carriageway and motorists are advised to avoid the area," a spokesman said. 

Diversion routes were put in place.
