Police have re-bailed a man in his 60s alleged to have hospitalized a drinker while investigations are continuing into a separate mass brawl at the same pub.
The first incident at The Waveney pub in Oulton Broad, near Lowestoft, happened on August 26.
Two men were arrested after police were called to reports of an assault in which a man in his 50s was hospitalised, suffering serious injuries to the face and jaw.
Following the incident Suffolk Police issued an order forcing the pub on Bridge Road to close until Tuesday, August 30.
East Suffolk Council then ordered a license review of the pub on the grounds of a serious alleged assault on a customer by the designated premises supervisor and one of the door staff.
The review has since concluded after no representations against the business were made.
Now police have dropped charges against one man and re-bailed another.
Commenting on the first incident, a Suffolk police spokesman said: "A male in his 60s arrested on suspicion of assault has been re-bailed until 26 February 2024 and no further action is being taken against a male in his 30s in connection with the incident."
After the pub just survived the license review for fighting, just four weeks later police were called to attend a second incident at The Waveney Pub.

It was a mass brawl involving dozens of people on October 1.
Craft Union who manages the pub initially claimed that "nobody was hurt" in the incident.

They also said that they were "introducing enhanced safety measures".
This was before this paper published footage showing a man's head gushing blood and several people taking punches to the face.
Craft Union declined to comment on the footage.
