The trial of a west Suffolk man accused of sending sexually explicit images of himself to a child has not gone ahead as the prosecution offered no evidence.
William Buckley, 39, of Beck Row near Bury St Edmunds, appeared before Ipswich Crown Court on July 12.
He was charged with causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, engaging in sexual communication with a child, and sending a photograph or film of his genitals with the intent of causing alarm, distress or humiliation.
Buckley denied these offences and was set to face a trial at the court on Tuesday.
However, court staff have confirmed the trial did not take place as planned as the prosecution offered no evidence for the charges against the defendant.
