On stage, he has performed in the Old Vic's production of Shakespeare's Richard II, Harold Pinter's Betrayal and as Thomas Cromwell in the Royal Shakespeare Company's Wolf Hall.
The festival, which is in its 12th year, enables famous artists to showcase talents they are less well known for.
The event begins on Friday at The Riverside with UK funk artist Les Spaine performing from 9pm.
On Saturday, the main event will be taking place in Elmhurst Park from midday and night time venues from 8pm.

On Sunday there will be an all day after-party in Whisstocks Place.
Tickets for the events at The Riverside and Elmhurst Park are available separately and start at £10.
A spokesperson for the festival said: "The not-for-profit community run festival has pioneered place-based music and art events in Suffolk since 2012.
"Community art projects have seen over a thousand local residents contribute artwork for public performances and exhibitions.
"It works with all the schools in its immediate area and has donated music and art equipment to six local primary schools."
Previous famous artists to appear at the festival have included the R&B group Aswad.
