Following the death of a "dear friend and valued member", an arts centre in a Suffolk town has announced it will cancel two events.
The John Peel Centre for Creative Arts in Church Walk in Stowmarket has confirmed it will cancel its Karma Sheen and Vinyl Lounge events this weekend following the death of a member of its community.
The centre confirmed the news in a social media post that read: "We are sad to inform you of the loss of a dear friend and valued member of the JPC last night. In respecting the wishes of the family, we are not publishing any further details at this stage."
They added that they will share more information when it is appropriate to do so and have sent their condolences to the family.
This comes after an air ambulance was called to the town at about 8.20pm on Thursday and a man was pronounced dead.
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said: "A community first responder, two ambulances, an ambulance officer vehicle and the East Anglian Air Ambulance were sent to the scene.
"Sadly, despite best efforts of the team, the man was pronounced dead at the scene."
