Ipswich farmers have grown a pumpkin patch for the third year running after a "brilliant" response.
Akenhall Farm Farm at Henley Road grew its first pumpkins in 2022 after Emily Wheaton - whose parents Tom and Anne Wheaton moved to the farm in 1995 - decided they should take up the challenge as a farm diversification.
This year's patch is open every October weekend starting this Saturday and half-term week from October 28 to 31 from 10am and 4pm. Entry is free.
Emily - who grew up on the farm with brothers Ben and James - said the patch had become an enjoyable way to meet members of the public.
“We love seeing families return year after year to enjoy the pumpkin patch,” she said. “It is becoming a real tradition for many, and we work hard to create a welcoming, fun atmosphere for everyone."
As well as pick-your-own pumpkins, the farmers put on a wide range of activities for all ages.
New attractions this year include donkey rides and archery. A much-loved Halloween themed bouncy castle will also return.
Seasonal gifts will be on sale and customers can also see parked farm machinery on display and learn more about the farm’s operations.
“We aim to offer something for everyone, whether it’s families looking for a fun day out or visitors who just want to grab a pumpkin and a hot drink," said Emily.
Shortly after the pumpkins, Akenhall Hall will be gearing up for the festive season with Christmas trees on sale from November 29.
The farm can be found at postcode IP6 0HL. Visit www.akenhamhall.co.uk for details.
