A 75-year-old slimmer from Rendlesham who has been nominated for Slimming World’s Woman of the Year 2017 says losing four stone has ‘changed her life’.
Jean Black, of Redwald Road, has gone from a dress size 26 to a 16 since joining the village’s Slimming World Group six months ago.
“Losing the weight has made such a big difference,” she said, “it’s changed my life.”
Jean, who has Type 2 diabetes, said her weight loss had improved her health, leading to a dramatic reduction in the medication she needs to take.
She said: “As the weight has started to come off, I have much more energy and am happier now - I definitely feel more comfortable in my skin.”
Sarah Pearsons, who runs the group, described Jean as an ‘inspiration’ saying what she had achieved was ‘nothing short of incredible’.
