A 72-year-old man has been interviewed by police in connection with an alleged assault on a 77-year-old man in Beccles on Monday.
Police were called to the incident, near to the level crossing in Grove Road, at 10.20am.
It is believed there was a dispute between a motorist and a pedestrian before the alleged incident took place.
A Suffolk police spokeswoman said the 77-year-old was taken to hospital but later discharged and added that enquiries were ongoing.
