There is lots to do in the Ipswich area this weekend - including the Framlingham Country Show, which has moved to the Suffolk Showground at Trinity Park because of the weather.

A last-minute change of venue means the Framlingham Country Show will this year be staged at the Suffolk Showground, Trinity Park.
This is because recent severe weather means the Framlingham College grounds can’t be used.
The show includes demonstrations in the ring, dancing, cookery demos, music and a Festival of Dogs.

FastLove - A Tribute to George Michael, Spa Pavilion, Felixstowe

RSPCA Quiz Night, St Michael’s Church Centre, Martlesham Heath

Quiz fans are invited to test their wits at this fun event, in aid of the RSPCA’s Martlesham rehoming centre and Ipswich clinic.
There will be prizes with the winning and losing teams, and a raffle.
Tickets include a jacket potato supper, with a choice of fillings. You need to prebook if you would like to take part.

Son of a Preacher Man, Ipswich Regent Theatre

It’s Musicals Month at The Regent, The greatest hits of Dusty Springfield feature in this Swinging 60s-themed show, which ends its run on Saturday.
Directed and choreographed by Craig Revel Horwood of Strictly fame, it’s a sparklingly funny and touching show.
Songs include The Look of Love, I Only Want to Be with You and Spooky, plus of course the title song.

Our Country’s Good, New Wolsey Theatre, Ipswich

Blending comedy and powerful drama, this play by Timberlake Wertenbaker is a tale of convicts heading for Australia in 1787.
It’s the remarkable true story of a group of convicts and a young officer who rehearse and perform a play.
This is a touring co-producton between Nottingham Playhouse Theatre Company and Ramps on the Moon.

Holi Festival of Colour, Holywells Park, Ipswich

Take your family along to the Holi Festival of Colour, with Bollywood entertainment, singing, dancing and Indian food stalls, from 1-4pm.
The highlight for many is the opportunity to cover each other in coloured powder – it’s great fun and a fantastic spectacle.

Artist at the Mansion, Christchurch Mansion, Ipswich

Artist-in-residence Lisa Temple-Cox will unveil the outcome of her three-month residency at the Mansion from this weekend.
Now’s your chance to see her work, inspired by the Thomas Wolsey exhibition.
The free event runs from 11am to 5pm, with no need to book. Both the main Thomas Wolsey exhibition and Lisa’s work will be on display until April 22.
