POLICE in Essex have named a teenager who died on Friday morning after suffering fatal head injuries in a four-car crash on a busy trunk road as he travelled to collect his A-level results.

Glen Edwards, 18, of Willowtree Close, Uxbridge, died when the white Vauxhall Corsa which he was a passenger in was caught up in the multiple-vehicle collision on the A12 on August 16 at about 8.30am.
Mr Edwards was heading home with a friend to Middlesex to collect his exam results after spending time visiting family in Suffolk.
The friend, who was driving the Corsa at the time of the crash, was an 18-year-old man from Bushey in Hertfordshire and one of several people to suffer minor injuries and received treatment from paramedics for cuts and bruises.

Police are still appealing for witnesses to the crash and have asked for anyone who has any information to contact Chelmsford Road Policing Unit on 01245 240600.
