An air ambulance was called to Bury St Edmunds today after a man in his 60s suffered a cardiac arrest.
The East of England Ambulance service were called to the Howard Estate at 9.04am today (Friday) after receiving reports that man was suffering a heart attack.
Two ambulances, an ambulance officer and the air ambulance crew arrived at the scene soon after.
Calls were also made to Suffolk Constabulary for officers to attend the estate at 10.10am.
A ambulance spokesman said in a statement that despite their efforts the man, aged in his 60s, died at the scene.
