Charlotte, who turns seven next week, has had over eight inches of hair cut off which will be donated to the Little Princess Trust - a charity which makes wigs for children who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment.

She had her hair cut on Friday, September 1 at Adam & Eve hairdressers, in Bramford road, Ipswich.

Her mother Michelle is immensely proud of her daughter.

She said: “The hair cut went really well, she was very brave and very excited. She has already said she wants to grow it so she can have it chopped off again.”

Charlotte, who attends Stonham Aspal primary school, was determined to donate her hair to the Little Princess Trust after hearing about the charity from a school friend, who has also had her hair cut and donated.

Charlotte will receive a certificate in the post from the trust as a thank you.
