Motorcyclist suffers ‘severe injuries’ following crash on A11

A stretch of the A11 was closed tonight following a serious accident.

A motorcyclist was involved in the incident and was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, in Cambridge, with what a spokesman for Suffolk police described as “severe injuries”.

The southbound carriageway of the road from the Fiveways roundabout at Barton Mills towards the B1085 Red Lodge junction is closed following the accident which happened at 5.27pm.

The road is not due to be opened until midnight as police continue their investigations into the incident.
