A CRASH on the A12 has left two people in hospital today and closed the road.
The two-vehicle accident happened at just before 9.30am at Benhall, near Saxmundham, and left the road closed in both directions until just after 11am.
The 38-year-old male driver of a red Peugeot 406 had to be cut from his car as a precaution because of previous spinal injures.
Once he was free of his car he, along with his female passenger, were taken to the James Paget Hospital with injuries that were not thought to be serious.
The 76-year-old female driver of the green Peugeot 306 which was also involved in the crash has been reported for careless driving by police.
