Drivers are being advised to allow extra time for their journey during work to carry out repairs to the A12 northbound carriageway and a bridge deck on November 26 and 27.

The work will close 4.6 miles (7.4 km) of the A12 from the A12/B1389 Coleman's Interchange (J22) to the A12/B1024 Kelvedon North Interchange (J23) near Witham, Essex.

The closure will be in place from 21:00 on Saturday 26 November through to Sunday morning, 27 November, with a clearly signed diversion route in place.

There will also be no access to and from the A12 at the junction with Oak Road. Due to the length of the diversion route, drivers are advised to plan their routes and allow extra time.

After re-opening the road on Sunday morning, a single lane closure will remain in place to complete work on the bridge deck. The single lane closure is scheduled to be removed by 17:00 on Sunday 27 November.
