A lane of the A12 was blocked for nearly two hours this evening following a collision between a van, a lorry and a car.

The crash happened on the London-bound carriageway, at Colemans Interchange, Witham, at 5.25pm.

Police and fire crews from Chelmsford, Witham and Colchester were called to the scene and one lane was left blocked for nearly two hours while the vehicles were recovered.

No one needed to be cut free from the wreckage and the road was cleared shortly after 7pm.
