Police closed the A14 at Westley near Bury St Edmunds earlier this evening after a man was seen acting suspiciously on a bridge across the road.
The stretch of road was closed around 7.15pm following concerns a man was “acting unusually” and might try to jump.
The road was closed for a short time until the man was safely recovered and police reported the road was open before 8pm.
