DRIVERS using the A14 faced delays this morning after a section of the dual carriageway was closed following an accident.
The crash, which involved two HGVs, took place at around 5am between St Ives and Godmanchester on the west-bound carriageway.
Although no one was injured, emergency services were forced to close the road and create diversions while the stricken vehicles were recovered.
Police were urging motorists planning to use the A14 to choose an alternative route.
A Cambridgeshire Constabulary spokesman said: “The accident is likely to impact on commuter traffic.
“We urge motorists to choose an alternative route.”
