The A14 has reopened after being closed in both directions due to “concerns for safety” of a person on a footbridge.
Suffolk police received reports of an incident near Bury St Edmunds at junction 43 at around 2.15pm this afternoon.
A police spokesman said the road had been closed in both directions and emergency services were on the scene.
Drivers had been being advised to avoid the area.
However, at around 3.30pm, police confirmed the road had reopened.
