CREWS have been called out to a car fire on the A14 in Bury St Edmunds.
The fire happened on the eastbound carriageway between junction 43 and 44 at about 5.50pm.
Appliances from Bury and Princes Street, Ipswich attended but found the fire had been extinguished by a member of the public.
The crews stayed to help with traffic control as the car was blocking part of the road.
The car is being recovered but congestion has been reported back to junction 42.
