A crash closed the A14 in Suffolk this morning just minutes after reopening following an earlier collision.

Suffolk police said a lorry got stuck in a drain on the eastbound carriageway near Creeting St Peter just after 9am.

Two vehicles then collided, causing one lane of the road to be shut for a short while.

No injuries have been reported and recovery was en route to remove the vehicles by 10.30am.

The accident happened less than 10 minutes after the A14 had been reopened near Coddenham, following a crash involving an Audi A7 and Ford Focus. Traffic was reported to be been backed up to the A1120 near Stowmarket.

Traffic was said to be clearing along that stretch of the A14.
