The collision involved three vehicles, one of which collided with a road sign, at around 2.20pm at the Wherstead Interchange.
The driver of a green Volkswagon Polo was cut free by firefighters after the car collided with a 20ft road sign at the entrance to the Wherstead slip road. A read and white box van and a Land Rover Defender were also involved in the crash.
Traffic has been delayed by up to 20 minutes as a result of the crash, which affected one lane of the westbound carriageway.
No one was injured in the crash.
