On Monday 21 November through to Friday 25 November three Lombardy poplar trees close to the carriageway. This work will not require any lane closures.

Work to clear away the trees will be carried out on Saturday 26 November under a single lane closure on the A14 westbound, from dawn through to 12noon.

The trees are being removed for safety reasons, following an incident involving a HGV on 25 October 2005. To minimise the impact on the environment two rare native black poplar trees and other smaller varieties of willow will be planted further back from the carriageway.

This work is weather dependent and may be rescheduled depending on conditions on the day.
