A14 reopens after stalled vehicle cleared

The A14 has fully reopened near Bury St Edmunds after a broken down vehicle blocked the road.

Officers from the Roads and Armed Policing Team closed lane one of the westbound carriageway, near junction 41 for Risby, around 8am today, July 29.

Traffic was heavy in the area, with queues stretching back towards Bury St Edmunds.

A Suffolk police spokeswoman confirmed the vehicle had been recovered and the road was reopened by 9.30am.
