Drivers are advised to allow extra time for their journey and drive carefully during the movement of a large yacht from 7.30am on Sunday 11 December, from Bridgland Moulders, Ashmanhaugh in Norfolk, to Southampton Yacht Services, Southampton.

The load, which will be escorted by the Police, is 20ft (6-metres) wide, 98ft (28-metres) long and 16ft (4.8-metres) high. Its journey will start at 7.30am from Bridgland Moulders, onto the A47 at Acle, along the A47 southern Norwich bypass, onto the A140 down to the A14/A140 Beacon Hill interchange (J51), along the A14 to the A14/A12 Copdock interchange (J55), down the A12 to the M25.

The yacht will reach the A12 Ingatestone bypass at around 11.00 and will travel through the major resurfacing scheme work. The yacht will then continue along the A12 before being parked up in a lay-by at Brentwood, Essex, until after midnight, when it will then travel along the M25 and continue its journey to Southampton.
