AN OVERTURNED lorry on the Suffolk-Norfolk border has forced the closure of the A140 this evening.

Diversions have been put in place around the accident at Dickleburgh, north of Diss, while the vehicle is removed from the road.

It was initially thought the road would be closed until 6.30pm while the vehicle was recovered, but at 7.30pm police said the carriageway remained shut as debris was being cleared.

It is expected to reopen very soon.

Firefighters were called to the scene of the crash, which occurred at around 3.15pm, to assist in freeing the injured driver from his vehicle.

No other vehicles were involved in the incident.
