A SLIP ROAD on the A14 was closed for two hours last night after two cars were involved in an accident.
The slip road leading to the sugar beet factory near Bury St Edmunds was closed after the accident which happened at just before 5.45pm.
The two cars involved were a Black BMW M3 and a Silver Volvo S40. The BMW ended up hanging over the embankment after colliding with the crash barrier while the Volvo came to rest underneath the crash barrier.
No one was hurt in the accident but the slip road was closed until 7.45pm while debris was cleared from the road.
Members of the Highways Agency were called to the scene to assess the damage to the crash barrier.
