Alan Bennett’s comedy Kafka’s Dick will be the first production of the year from Sudbury Dramatic Society at the town’s Quay Theatre.
The funny and fascinating play will be performed from Tuesday, March 20, to Saturday, March 24, at 7.45pm.
Set in the 1980s in a Yorkshire suburban dwelling, Kafka aficionado Sydney and his wife Linda are visited by Franz Kafka and his friend Max Brod who are both long dead.
Kafka had left instructions for all his works to be burned – instructions which Brod chose to ignore.
Director Peter Drew said: “Kafka’s Dick is a hilarious and thought-provoking play, written in Alan Bennett’s well-known witty style and wry way with words, and is sure to entertain and delight all our audiences.”
Tickets are available now from The Quay Theatre box office on 01787 374745 or online at www.quaysudbury.org.uk
