A lifeboat was launched off the Suffolk coast amid concerns that a windsurfer had failed to return to shore.
The Aldeburgh lifeboat crew responded to reports of a possible missing windsurfer at 7.52pm.
A Thames Coastguard spokesman said the alarm was raised following a call reporting an “overdue windsurfer”.
In spite of initial reports, nothing was found and the crew from Aldeburgh was stood down and returned to shore.
