Life-savers were called to rescue the seasick crew of a yacht that was drifting off the Suffolk coast.
Aldeburgh RNLI launched its all-weather lifeboat Freddie Cooper on Monday afternoon following a UK Coastguard alert that the 37ft vessel was struggling to make headway.
Two crew were said to be on board one of whom was suffering from seasickness.
The RNLI arrived at just after 3pm to find the yacht had suffered a total loss of power, which also meant its anchor was lost.
They towed the stricken vessel to Shotley Marina, arriving safely at 6pm
It followed a call-out earlier that day for the RNLI’s inshore lifeboat Susan Scott, which was alerted to reports a 12ft dinghy had capsized in the River Alde near Barbers Point.
The RNLI arrived to find the dinghy had already been righted, but assisted pumping out water and then towed the casualty back to Aldeburgh Yacht Club.
