AN UNDERGROWTH blaze which spread across two acres was dealt with by firefighters today.

Four fire crews were called out to the incident which started at just after 12.20pm in Aldeburgh Road, Aldringham.

Around two acreas of undergrowth was caught alight due to strong winds, a Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said.

Firefighers surrounded the fire and protected nearby properties before the blaze was brought under control by 2.10pm.

It is believed the fire started accidentally, the spokesman added.
