A female driver was hurt in a collision which happened while emergency services were dealing with a van fire.
Fire and police crews were called to the van fire on the A12 southbound at Copdock at 5.20pm and one lane of the carriageway was closed.
A spokeswoman for Suffolk Constabulary said there was a subsequent collision on the road involving a Toyota Yaris.
