Several crews were sent to the scene at Hill Farm Lane, Chelmondiston, where firefighters tackled a blaze covering five acres.
Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service was called at shortly after 4.10pm today to reports of a blaze near Chelmondiston, following a spate of field fires over the past few days.
A spokesperson for the service confirmed that five acres of standing crop were well alight.
A stop was called on the incident at shortly after 5pm.
