Police appeal after man found unconscious in the road.
Emergency services were called after man was found seriously injured in Broadway, Jaywick, at 6.45pm last night.
Police and paramedics were alerted to the man, in his 40s, who was lying unconscious in the road.
He was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
Anyone with information should call Detective sergeant Dan Jeffries at Clacton CID on 101.
