The former Mayor of Sudbury, Tony Platt, is appealing for photos or posters of some of the events which have been held at a local landmark site over the years.
The developers who are building houses in Harpclose Meadow, Sudbury, perhaps better known to Sudburians as “Peoples Park”, have agreed that an interpretative board can be placed on the remaining piece of meadowland.
Now Mr Platt is on the look out for images of events held there including fairs, circuses and football matches.
He said: “We would like to ask our readers if they could lend or give us any such items relating to these events or any other activities in Peoples Park, so that we can make copies for the interpretative board.
“Could you please contact myself (tonyplatt7@gmail.com) or else leave a message or drop items off at the Town Hall. We will of course return any items where this has been requested.”
