POLICE are appealing for information to find a driver who failed to stop after a road crash on the A12 near Dedham today.

The incident happened at about 10.30am on the northbound carriageway, about 200 yards form the Suffolk border.

A white Ford Fiesta struck the central reservation and spun several times after an incident involving a black BMW estate car that failed to stop, police in Essex said. The Fiesta driver was unhurt, but badly shaken.

One lane of the carriageway was blocked for about 90 minutes until the damaged car was cleared.
