A £2,000 reward has been made to find a dog which has mysteriously disappeared.

It has been offered by Christina Prior whose five-year-old Jack Russell cross Poodle Rosie ran away while out for a walk with her owner seven weeks ago in a field off Old Mill Road, in Langham.

Christina, who works at Tiptree Veterinary Centre, was out with Rosie and her two other Jack Russells, Roxi and Ruby, on December 2, from her home in the neighbouring village of Boxted.

All three were let off the lead as per normal but when she called them back Rosie failed to return.

“I am really struggling without Rosie and would love people to keep a look out with a £2,000 reward if she is found,” she said. “No questions will be asked, I just want Rosie back home where she belongs.

“I could see the dogs running backwards and forwards and called them to come back but Rosie didn’t.

“I stayed in the field for six or seven hours and had my husband Dan and friends come looking for her but could not find anything.

“I’ve put posters up in the village and posted her missing on Facebook and asked all the dog walkers to look out for her.

“This is the first time this has happened and she has totally run away and there has been no sightings of her. It’s a mystery. She is part of the family and it’s not the same at home without her.”
