A young woman has been taken to hospital with a broken leg after falling from a horse in Ardleigh today.
The East of England Ambulance Service was called to the scene at 10.22am and sent an ambulance. The Essex Air Ambulance was also dispatched.
A spokesperson for EEAST said: “The woman, who we believe to be aged 20, fell from a horse and sustained a badly broken leg. The ambulance crew assessed the casualty and because of the nature of her injury, requested the critical care team.
“She received advanced medication at the scene and was then taken by ambulance to Colchester General Hospital for further treatment.”
