ARMED raiders burst into a Suffolk house and attacked a man and a teenager before fleeing with cash, police said today.
The drama unfolded at a home in Laurels End, Beccles, at 10.30am yesterday morning.
A 16-year-old boy answered the door to the two robbers - who claimed to be railway workers - before they forced their way into the house, woke a 59-year-old man and demanded money.
They produced weapons - handguns and a stun device - and attacked the occupants. An 18-year-old woman was also in the house but was unharmed.
The 59-year-old man, who suffered shoulder injuries in the raid, was forced to hand over cash and the pair fled.
Police are appealing for help in finding the robbers, who are described as as black, aged in their 30s, with short cropped hair and wearing fluorescent yellow jackets.
One was around 5ft 11ins tall, of large/ stocky build while the other was shorter and of slim build.
Officers want to hear from anyone who may have seen the men in the town yesterday, or anyone who may have seen them travelling into or around the area.
Anyone with information should call Beccles CID on 01986 835300.
